How can I show my love for God ?
Many of us want to please God, but we’re not always sure how to do that.
Jesus gives us a powerful picture of how God will one day judge people. He describes God separating people into two groups: those who served Him and those who did not.
The people who truly served God were those who regularly helped others in need. In contrast, those who did not serve Him often ignored the needy people around them.
Jesus ends this teaching with these challenging words: “ as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did for me.”
All our religious activities and efforts to love God mean very little if our lives don’t reflect that in our love for other people.
Take time to read or watch Jesus’ teachings and allow them to challenge you. Then listen to Phuong’s story, and see how people lived out Jesus’ message by helping her and her family.

Can a person’s life be changed by God? If the answer is yes, how can this happen?
All of us have needs. Many of us wish we could live better lives, and we know people who are weighed down by problems, whether from difficult circumstances or their own choices. Some struggle with harmful habits that control and damage their lives. Others suffer deep pain because of broken relationships.
Can God change these things and many other problems ? If so, how?
Jesus once heard a blind man calling out for help. Because he could not see and could not get close, he cried out even louder, asking Jesus to have mercy on him. Jesus came to him and asked what he wanted.
The man said, “I want to see.”
Jesus replied, “Your faith has healed you.” At once, the man could see clearly—his life was changed.
The same can be true today. Anyone who calls out to Jesus in prayer can receive help. This may be healing, freedom from addiction, or restored relationships. Faith in Jesus makes the difference. Trust in His power can transform lives.

Mark 10: 46-52
46 Then they came to Jericho. On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. 51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

What must I do to get eternal life?

What must I do to get eternal life? This is such an important question. It is probably the most important question we can ever ask.
In the story from Jesus’ life today, we see that a rich man asked Jesus this same question. What must I do to get eternal life ? In response, Jesus asked the rich man whether he had tried to live a good life and follow the commandments. The man said he had. Then Jesus told him that this was not enough. He told the man to sell everything, give the money to the poor and follow him. The man was shocked!
Sell everything!
From Jesus’ answer, it seems that the price of eternal life is putting aside everything that gets in the way of following Jesus. One might ask why? The answer is found in another part of the Bible where Jesus defines eternal life. He says this: ‘Eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ who God has sent’. Following Jesus , without hindrances means we are listening to his voice and
we are living in relationship with him. This IS eternal life!
After watching this Bible story, listen to a story of a successful business man ,who in recent years, like the rich man, learnt that following Jesus can be costly, yet can lead to a deep peace in one’s life.

How can I find peace with God? Many of us lack peace in our lives for all kinds of reasons. We may also feel that God is not doing anything to solve our problems. However, the Bible teaches us that the opposite is true. God is seeking us. God longs to be close to us.
He also promises in His Holy Word, through the prophet Isaiah : “You keep him in perfect peace, the one whose mind is stayed on you, (God), because he trusts in you “
In Jesus’ teaching in the video clip, Jesus likens God to a shepherd who will leave all his sheep to go and find one sheep that is lost. Definitely God is interested in the people he created. He is seeking us!
Think about the closeness between the shepherd and the sheep when it is found. Think about the
peace and safety the sheep experiences. This is what God desires for each one of us.

Is there a special way to pray?
When we look at the prophets, Elijah, Moses, David and others we see that prayer was always a simple conversation with God and there were no special ways to pray. They simply talked to God, with faith and humility. Jesus himself teaches us a lot about prayer. Watch the video of his teaching. He clearly teaches us not to try to impress others through our praying, but to humbly come to God. When we do that and express faith and use simple words, Jesus promises us that God will reward us. In our lives we experience many sad events and things that can cause us to suffer from depression.
The hurts of the past or our current circumstances can weigh us down. Is there an answer to our depression? Where is God in all of this? Can Allah lift my depression?
Jesus said: ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest’.
Long before that , the prophet David wrote ‘Give your burden to the Lord and He will take care of you’.
It seems the secret to being free is found in coming to God through the Messiah, Jesus and asking him to lift off us our burdens and worries. Listen to Jesus’ words in the video clip and then listen to a lady called Nadar. She found that when she gave her past and present burdens to Jesus, he completely transformed her life.

Should we be afraid of death? What will happen after we die? Can we die knowing that we will go to be with God? Jesus’ teaching gives us the answers to these questions. Once Jesus had a conversation with a woman, called Martha, who was grieving because her brother had recently died. Jesus said to her these remarkable words: I am the resurrection and the life.
Often Jesus defined the life he offers as eternal life, which is about having an everlasting relationship with God. Jesus is saying that a person who trusts in him can have this eternal life now and it will not end when they die.
Of all the great people who ever lived , only Jesus claimed to be the resurrection. He demonstrated this by raising people back to life, as you will see in the video clip. Also, after Jesus died, he came back to life.

21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

Jesus Raises Lazarus From the Dead

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”
40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”
43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

We have so many anxieties. We carry so many burdens. We are concerned about many problems in our lives and in our world. Is it possible to have peace in our lives? How can we experience peace? The prophet David said ‘Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you, God, are with me’. Clearly God must be the answer to finding peace in our lives.
Can Allah give me peace in my life? Jesus taught us that we should seek first God’s plans and purposes. If we do that, our anxieties and worries will disappear.
Jeremiah, the prophet, wrote these words: ‘Call to God and He will answer you’.
There is no burden that God cannot lift from your shoulders.
There is no fear or anxiety that He cannot replace with His Peace. Jesus said: “come to me all who are weary and carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest”. Watch on video Jesus’ teaching about worry. What is God saying to you through this?
Then listen to a story about someone who hands over their problems to God.
Finally, respond by calling out to Jesus to lift your burdens.

Is heaven real? If it is real, who will enter heaven after they die?
These questions worry many people.
Many realise that when they face death, it is too late to change how they lived on earth. Some believe they will be judged for what they did on earth. They fear that they didn’t do enough to deserve eternal heaven.
Jesus confirms in his teaching that heaven is real. He often teaches about it and warns people of the dangers of the opposite place , eternal hell.
Watch the video, where Jesus challenges a rich man who was concerned about his eternal future. By the end of their chat Jesus tells him how to find eternal peace. He says to the man that he must give away his earthly riches and follow him. During this same event Jesus praises his disciple Peter, who had left everything to follow him. It seems that Jesus speaks about one main requirement for entering heaven. It is a willingness to follow Jesus.

29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

How can I be lifted out of dark times?

We often go through hard times in our lives. Can I experience God in these dark times? David, one of the prophets, had many struggles. He called out to God with words like these: ‘save me in your unfailing love’. Jesus also had dark times, especially as he approached the end of his life. Watch how he called out to God, yet trusted in God’s answer by saying’ not my will, but yours be done’.
Sometimes darkness comes because of spiritual forces working against our lives.
At these moments we can do two things: Firstly, we can call out to God to save us, just like David did. Secondly, we can say to the evil presence: ‘Satan, I resist you in Jesus’ name. Depart from me.’ Jesus’ name has authority and power over every evil in the world. Many have seen evil forces depart when they have spoken this way. 39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. 40 On reaching the place, he said to them, ‘Pray that you will not fall into temptation.’ 41 He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42 ‘Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.’ 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45 When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. 46 ‘Why are you sleeping?’ he asked them. ‘Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.’
47 While he was still speaking a crowd came up, and the man who was called Judas, one of the Twelve, was leading them.
